In this video, Anthony Sequeira covers the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching (CCNA R&S) exam. Specifically, he’ll dig into just how easy it is to get hands-on practice for cornerstone topics on the command line. People tend to make this more complicated than it needs to be, and Anthony simplifies what you need to know.

Although you’re working with highly technical concepts, there’s usually an easy way and a hard way to do this. Anthony illustrates the easy way to get hands-on experience with certain concepts in this video, beginning with configuring and verifying OSPF (multi-area), specifically targeting the router ID at the command line.

He’ll walk you through each step of the process, demonstrating how approaching studying in the right way can drastically simplify what you have to learn. To test router ID functionality, you don’t need any complex, sophisticated technology. In fact, you really just need to work with a couple of routers in GNS3.
