This video saved me over 400 dollars today. 7/22/2022. In November I had to replace a run flat tire due to a nail in the tread, mainly cause I was told you can't plug a run flat. Today found a nail in my tire and then found this video. Fixed it right up no problem. Thanks for the information and thanks for saving me 400+ dollars on a new tire.

I actually had a hole (ran over something sharp) near the same area as the screw in your tire and initially when I contacted my dealership they said had to replace the entire tire. However, I took it to a local tire shop and they were able to patch it and it ran over another 10k+ miles without issue.

thanks for the info and great advice. I got a nail in one of my run flat tires (somewhat close - at least an inch or 2 from the side wall) a couple days ago and went to big o tires to try to get it fixed. The repair guy said it wasn't fixable, so I went to Costco and got it patched. So always get a second opinion, as some tire shops are just trying to make money.

I had to drive less than 6 miles back home with 3psi and just patched it up when I got home with no leaks as of now, so hopefully I'll get to squeeze some more miles outta the tire.

I just repaired my 2018 VW run flat tyre. It had not nail in it but had a small hole in the tyre. Hence DIY repaired. Not spending £100 on a new tyre. Manufactures only want their tyre sale.

When you have a screw in your tire it's almost always your neighbor who wedged it there, it's the only way a screw gets there

You can repair it if you haven't run much after a flat. So the reinforced ring hasn't been worn or damaged.

No is the answer as the tyre structure can no longer be guaranteed when next punctured and driven on flat. It could break up!

its bullshit. i have a 2014 bmw x6 huge tires. i got a big nail in it, got taken out an regular plug and done just alot tougher to get in there but its been 6 months and ive done it before on other runflats and u can definately buy regular tires if u want.

Can’t be ran down to zero. Other than that. People are sick of spending money on this stuff.
