In their new Netflix docuseries, Meghan and Harry recount the moment when she met Queen Elizabeth had to curtsy for the first time. Markle’s reenactment of the curtsy has been received as “disrespectful,” says Roya Nikkhah royal editor for the Sunday Times.

It was a very disrespectful “curtsy” to the late Queen Elizabeth...and comparing it to medieval times??😳 Imagine if Meghan met the emperor of Japan and did a very exaggerated bow to him and his wife! And didn’t this vile woman major in International Relations?? You would think she’d learn a thing or two about royal etiquette! Grace Kelly was the epitome of beauty/class and gave up Hollywood life to marry the Prince of Monaco! The more Meghan spews out her “truth”, the more respect I have for Prince William and Princess Catherine and the RF✨

I am marrying a white German guy and when he met my Indian parents for the first time, I had prepared him with all the practices like touching feet of the elders and what not. He has been so respectful of all the traditions he did not understand. I was literally shocked at this moment in the documentary. I would have left any person who would not respect my culture. This also plays into the stereotype that Americans don't understand culture and tradition.

Mocking her grandmother-in-law, the Queen of England no less, who devoted 70 years of her life to an institution she loved and revered is despicable. Harry, of course, sat there like the potted plant that he is. She revealed herself to be mean, nasty, and classless. But we all knew that.

It is very disrespectful! As Asian living in the US we still show respect by bowing to our elderly especially our Grandmother and great grandparents. We use polite words to show respect in responding to them. We do it out of respect and love. Some parents will still hit their child if you show disrespect to the grandparents or if you even don’t acknowledge the oldest person in the house. It’s not American thing or in America…it’s just her so being prideful and disrespectful. So sad and so stupid.

In Texas, we all say yes ma’am and sir to show respect. Our kids do it. We do it. ALWAYS to our elders. By the way, I live in Uvalde County and Meghan’s visit was ridiculous and did NOTHING but annoy people who were already mourning the awful tragedy.
