Persona 5 Royal Review - One of the Greatest Games Ever Made

Persona 5 was very near greatness and perfection when it came out. It had a list of flaws and shortcomings, but what it did well, it did so well that those flaws mattered far less. Persona 5 Royal has finally delivered on the full potential that Persona 5 hinted at. By sanding out its rough edges by addressing its shortcomings, and delivering a bunch of additions and changes that elevate the quality of an already sublime experience even further, we get a game that is just about perfect – there are no flaws that bog the experience, or if there are, they are so minuscule that they don’t even register as you are playing the game.

And so, delivering a genre- and generation-defining experience, Persona 5 Royal ends up being a home run in every regard. With its substantial spate of new improvements and additions to an already fantastic core package, this is the definitive way of playing one of the greatest games ever made.

This game and the persona series as a whole is one of those games that makes you feel some things and makes you grow so attached to the characters you just don’t want it to end and when it finally does you feel like there’s a huge hole where the game use to be cus of the memories and the times you’ve spent with those characters, the hard times and the fun times but alas the time you’ve spent with them has ended but the bonds you’ve forged with them shall forever live on within your hearts and your memories.

After my 130 hour play through I just wanna go back and replay it all over again and relive the moments I spent with the friends I’ve made in the game, it was truly a great experience and one I shall never forget.

p5 was definitely a game i overlooked a long time ago, in fact i only got to play p5 due to it being lent to me 3 months ago. i'm now easily 400+ hours in on multiple playthroughs still going for the platinum. I literally can't wait for royal.

turn based games are never really my cup of tea, the last game I've ever played is FF8, which is great btw. So I didn't touch Persona 5 for 2 years after it released, but after I heard so much about it, I've to give it a it costs 128 hours of my life.

I'm around 83 hours on Persona 4 Golden and I'm so close to beating it. These games are so awesome!

I bought the base game back in 2017 as a sort of impulse buy and was thoroughly surprised at how good it was. This game was there when i was going through a hard time in life and it pulled me in with it's charming characters great mechanics and amazing story. So saying rhat this game means a lot to me is an understatement. I will always remember this game fondly. And will replay it countless times.
