Like previous persona games, Persona 5 combines an amazing story with an interesting cast of characters, with awesome gameplay. Because everything works so well together, for me Persona 5 Royal is GREAT and in this mini review of Persona 5, I elaborate further on all the reasons I love Persona 5 Royal and why I think it's GOOD.

As a newcomer to the persona franchise, I can confirm that yes, the mechanics are complex enough to keep you hooked but are also easy for newcomers like me to figure out. I’m currently on Maruki phase 2 as I’m writing this.

The funniest thing about Persona is that 5 is a 10/10 almost perfect game. It nails all of the aspects: story, gameplay, music and style. But somehow Persona 4 is even better.

Maruki's entire arc is trying to figure out a question that changes all of existence. Would you live a fake life if you had everything you ever wanted (a bit like the Truman Show but just better) or would you rather have a weird life, but live how you want to live and have your own ups and downs...

I’ve got a lot of issues with 5 especially when compared to it’s predecessor. I played P5 and P5R before I touched any other Persona titles but when I picked up P4G when it dropped on steam, I just felt like 5 never held a candle to 4 especially in the story
