When To Start Tummy Time!

I’m often asked when can I begin tummy time with my newborn. Here is the short of it. 😉

My baby hated tummy time but we were consistent and within a few weeks she loved it. I believe thanks to all of that tummy time she learned to crawl so fast. By 5 months she was army crawling and regular crawling by 6 months. She is now 9 months and cruising using the furniture... really waiting for those first independent steps.. ❤

Mine is 3 months and I'm starting I had no clue that you're supposed to start so early and mine freaks out but I guess technically he was doing it since a day old when he would lift his head while I held him on my chest and would do that ever since

My first son wasnt a fan and spend a lot of time in bouncers, rockers, walkers and jumpers, he started crawling at 1 yo and walking few months later. My 2nd was always flat on the bed or on a blanket on the floor, started army crawling at 6 months old and is nearly walking now at 8.5months old.

My 2 weeks old wants to sleep on his tummy than his back.... he can sleep for a whole hour on tummy but on his back he keeps waking up... he tries to turn his body and head constantly ... is that ok?

Stellt euch mal vor, das haben wir vor 35 Jahren auch schon mit unseren Babys gemacht, obwohl
es uns keiner gesagt hat...und es auch so gar nicht hieß...und wir hatten nichtmal Internet...und trotzdem sind wir auf
diese Idee gekommen, unsere Babys auf den Bauch zu legen🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

I am 74 yrs old!! But as an infant i almost didn't make to the age of 74!! My mother put me on my back in the bassinet!! Well, if it wasn't for my grandmother who noticed i was choking...i ended up choking on a wad of phlegm!!! I grew up hearing that story many times! When i had my babies... thankfully in good health!! I either placed them on their sides but mostly on their tummies!! I was afraid of that they might choke on phlegm or vomit during the night!! So they slept on their sides or tummies!! They never had a problem or issue in either of those positions!!
