I would have least put him in huge container than looked for the nearest bush land miles from my home or workplace - same goes for to save him/them but he/they would have been relocated in a whole new suburb to terrorise neighbours and regardless of size or how dangerous it is - the last thing on that spiders mind is biting or attacking anything - if you waved food in front of him he wouldn’t budge coz all he is thinking about is his survival and finding a dark dry warm spot to chill
