Couple ‘held hostage’ in their car by a GIANT huntsman spider | SWNS

A couple have gone viral after they documented their hilarious struggle as they were 'held hostage' in their car - by a GIANT Huntsman spider.

Shane Ivory, 29, and Charlotte Jack, 30, were driving when the enormous arachnid began began clambouring across the top of the car windscreen before disappearing onto the roof.

The panicked couple knew they had to pull over to locate the beast before they could continue their trip in Cairns, North Queensland, Australia.

So glad you are both okay. We has a trap - door spider the size of a 4 quart bowl (with lid - thank goodness). It was in our basement eating food we put out for our turtles. He was huge! He rocked the bowl while sitting on my lap as we drove to our local zoo to validate his species! They gave him his own exhibit, and fortunately they even gave us our bowl back! I hope to never relive that experience!
