Thousands of Spiders Flee Floods in Australia

Thousands upon thousands of spiders swarmed a farm in New South Wales, Australia, as they attempted to escape rising flood waters. One brave witness to the arachnid invasion told reporters, “I don't really mind them, I grew up around and there's always been spiders. It's all good.” The east coast of Australia has been swamped with extreme weather, causing rivers to flood. That, in turn, has caused people, and other living things, to evacuate. #InsideEdition

This dude literally had the audacity to open a gate with a ton of spiders on it... I’d be petrified to go anywhere near it.

Man, if I'd grown up in Australia, I'd be a total badass. That dude just opened that gate and then shrugged like, "Yeah, it's a Tuesday. So what?"

How human reacts to spiders: ”Eww all those spiders.”
How birds react to spiders: “I’m in heaven. Look at this buffet!”

I like how everyone's talking about the small, harmless spiders but not the herd of possibly disease ridden rodents 💀

I'd make a joke about "now we gotta burn the whole country" but it'd probably be in bad taste

*Australia is that one country you've heard of, but it feels like it doesn't exist.*

Living in one of the most intense countries in the world, Australia (when it comes to weather and the amount of dangerous animals we have here and the outback) for most of my life many of us have learned not to be scared of spiders or any animals in particular but if poisonous or dangerous to just back away and leave them alone and seeing just how calm and relaxing that guy was when this giant swarm of spiders where invading his backyard fence just shows we don't really care about that sort of stuff and know that they aren't going to harm us and will eventually leave.

Admittedly, this IS terrifying but I feel bad for the spiders. They’re just trying to survive the flood and now they might be exterminated anyway. It’s not their fault they look so creepy 😭

And I immediately packed everything I owned. Set it a blaze then boarded the nearest boat. Sailed to the U.S, jumped out before reaching land. Set the boat on fire and swim to the docks.
