Scholes is such a chilled guy. Out of every past player, he seems like such a chill humble dude

Very humble. I just love the way he gave his reasons for choosing Beckham over Ronaldo, Yorke over Cole, KDB over lampard. Class act

Great to see Scholes show respect to both Iniesta and Xavi, two players who has publically hailed Scholes as a genius.

I always loved how humble Scholes was and still is, he was my favourite player as a kid. I would love to see him on the coaching staff to try and light a fire under the players arses

Piniero: I go Yaya over veira
Scholes: but for how long did yaya do it for
Piniero: he did it at Barcelona
Scholes: he didn't really do it at Barcelona

A United fan here. Scholes and Gerrard different players but just as effective. Gerrard was like Robbo got the team by the scruff of neck and made it win. Scholes by his share class was at times unplayable!

The good thing about scholes is that he doesn't have a short answer, he always says that they are both great but they are different. And that's the perfect answer.

It’s crazy cos players like Ronaldinho, Iniesta and Zidane didn’t have WORLD CLASS stats like others. They just played the game in a beautiful way!

Guy is such an enigma. He could be your local plumber but he’s actually this footballing genius who is so unassuming

2:45 "Rooney is built like 30 year old man at 18"
Best statement 🤣 Should have added "the Chest hair" too 🤣🤣

I like the way he puts the reasoning to his answers

the interesting thing about Yorke before United was how, unlike Cole, he wasn't exactly on fire (Cole at Newcastle was incredible), but then arguably took United's frontline to a level which Cole couldn't

He’s such a humble person. Guy genuinely doesn’t even realise he’s one of the best midfielders of his generation

United’s treble was better, the teams they had to face in that season in both the CL & FA Cup… not to mention a very powerful Arsenal team in the league… and remember this, the Premier League was probably the 3rd best/strongest league in Europe at the time… Man United were not favourites to win the thing by any stretch of the imagination… City play in the strongest league in Europe with a budget that can only be matched by other English teams and maybe PSG… them winning the treble is a remarkable feat, but it’s not a surprise tbh… so for me, United in 99 was the better feat 😊

Scholes looking so relaxed in an interview is almost overwhelming me… I just don’t know who he is anymore 😂

Football IQ of this man is Paul Scholes level! What he said about Rooney was on point, those who played with him gives him the respect. Also, the United players' recognition tend to fade away because of utd's recent performances. What those players achieved is way beyond most teams, even city now still have a long way to go to match that legacy, but they are on course to do so unfortunately! Paul Scholes, amazing player, amazing human being! Harry Pinero, respect!
