How to Ride a Motorcycle: Lane Splitting. What's Legal and What is Not in CA

I recently took a safety seminar and was surprised at how many asked questions that lead me to realized that even licensed Motorcycle rides aren't completely sure about the current lane filtering rules when going between cars in California. What drives me nuts is when i lane split to the front at a red light and i move into the right lane infront and the car gets offended and moves up to my rear wheel and when the light turns green they try to pass me . I dont understand

and when a car pulls to the side to give you ample space when lane splitting, always flash a peace sign or thumbs up as you pass them by ... ;)

What about a two-lane road? Had a motorcyclists freak off on me because I was driving to the left on a mountain road to avoid tree branches. Also there was no on coming traffic.

lane splitting is illegal here in texas🤷🏽‍♂️ but i dont ever sir in traffic specially if its hot or im on a road trip lol
