One thing to note is once you’re more experienced try learning how to rev match as one it’ll keep wear off the brakes but two it’ll help you slow down quicker and smoother.

I was just brushing up and I must say as a woman driver, this is the best explanation and visual I have seen. Quick and to the point. Thank you!

This help me so much because I’m actually able to look at your hand and see that you grab the clutch and shift down or up.

Thanks for this video - simple and straight to the point. So many other videos explaining the same thing that are like 20 minutes long.

even after riding 300, 000 miles on 4 Harleys over the years a rider can always learn new stuff. I worked on military base and 2 ride on base you had 2 take and pass their riding course. learned things I either didn't know or hadn't tried really good course.
1 simple thing I learned was 2 never kick ur bike out of gear while stopped at red light, the main reason is u may need 2 move quick depending on what's going on around u.
u think I'll just put it n gear but the time it takes 4 u think of that and do it then get out of harm's way may not be quick enough.
sitting @ red light u should be looking around @ what's going on around u. cars reared cars and cars run red lights. B aware of your surroundings

Love it. Perfect camera angles and to the point of showing how and what to listen for when it's time to shift up or down.

Thank you so much for this.

Great explanation. I take possession of my first Harley tomorrow. My fifth motorcycle but my first cruiser and I haven't been on a motorcycle in several years. You reinforced what I remember. Thanks!

Hated the idea of bikes for a long time until I learned about cruisers. I dont like speeding too much but I do love the breeze and control the bike gave when my friend gave me a tour once. Will most definitely invest in a Harley sometime in the future

want to start riding next year. Living off base next year. Saving up for a Honda Rebel (Decent beginner bike) i've ridden one bike and tried to maneuver the gears but felt inferior cause i honestly didn't know what i was doing. But this video definitely helps!

Rev matching is really important to learn and incorporate early on. Always best practice to flow and avoid upsetting the balance of the bike. Once you master it, it's a safer ride and will prolong the lifespan of your clutch, transmission and drivetrain.
