I knew it. People always tell me im crazy for sleeping on the floor when my back hurts. It feels better when I do.

DR. MANDELL, Got a carpet blade and tore my mattress to pieces! My back pain has evolved to having to get steroid injections in my lower back every 90 days and take muscle relaxants to deal with the pain. Not even losing 20 lbs helped. NOW I SLEEP ON THE FLOOR!! I feel so much better! God Bless this ANGEL, for guiding us with his light!

People tend to forget that humans existed before beds. We began sleeping on grounds and hard surfaces. It is a great way to recover alignment within the spine!

I agree laying on your back on the floor is good for posture and pain. I can nap that way, but it’s hard to fall asleep at night that way.

I can attest to that it really works...been sleeping on the floor for the past 4 weeks, it really helps a lot...not only 4 adjusting the spine, but also it energizes your body....and guess what?...it also brings back dreams!!😊

I started sleeping on the floor and my back pain is gettin better and better.
Slept a year on shitty memory foam topper i think it did horrible to my back. Hope it gets even better now

Took me about 2 weeks on the floor to get used to it. At first, it was very hard...figuratively and literally, but the evidence was too strong to ignore. I had to turn to my side though but worked a way to make it doable. After 2 weeks there was no going back!!! I started out in my apartment with a blanket over the carpet but went to visit someone with wood floors and WOW....like sleeping on something soft and cozy! Amazing. It just takes time to adjust to sleeping on the floor, but oh so worth it.

Thank you so much Dr. Mandell, I have scoliosis and lower back problems and I tried it right now "I'm still doing it" and I feel so so much better in just a 3 minutes or so, and I'm still feeling the lower back muscles relaxing and stretching, oh what a sensation, GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS 🙏

As long as you make the surface soft enough to not cause problems and sleep only on your back then you'll be fine. I have tried sleeping in different positions and sleeping on my back was the only time I didn't wake up with pain. I am literally sleeping on a thin blanket on a wooden floor because I have no bed to sleep on. It makes you appreciate what you have more.

I was always judged by where and how I sleep. I used to have severe back pain, now I am free from back pain. "Tatami" mat is my therapy. I love it!

Doc, I think you are either a magician or the smartest doc on earth!! I have so many musculoskeletal issues, and as a consequence, daily life is quite a challenge for me. Every single time I've looked up how to do anything to feel better, you come through with the solution!! My problem is actually that my bed is too firm & I wake up every morning feeling like I got hit by a Mack truck. So I just did this pillow trick in this video, my bed being as hard as the floor, and sure enough..I started crying tears of joy. GOD BLESS YOU! It worked. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊

Once your spine takes on it’s proper form after a few weeks of floor sleeping, that first moment I collapse onto the floor and just let my body melt…..it’s far more comfortable and inviting to sleep than any contorted position you find yourself in while sleeping on a bed(a fairly modern contraption in the overall picture of things to begin with)
