Knitting is intellectual! Thank you for your knowledge! You're very thorough! 💗

That cleared up so many questions I had about charts. Thank you for helping us understand, especially the difference between flat and round knitting using a chart.

Great and simple video, I love the way you teach. It makes sense to me.

This is very timely for me as I'm knitting what should be a simple pattern but I've had to rip it out 3 times. So I thought the chart might be easier. I'm going to watch this again with my chart and see if it helps. Thanks! Cyn

I found a beautiful pattern on Hobbii. It's the first knitting pattern I have attempted. I come from crochet and mosaic crochet so I do love me some charts. I have to admit the knitting versus purling on the wrong side was confusing but your your screen share helped me make sense of it. I think I'm ready to tackle this thing.

Thanks so much! I've knitted from charts before but didn't know about the difference between flat and round charts.

I would love to see a video for color work and the differences. That you for the time you spend teaching about knitting. I am new to knitting but not to fiber arts. With you help on the videos I learned to knit. I am working on my second shawl. Next I downloaded one of your patterns to do.

Thank you for this video. You are a great teacher. I'd love to know what tools you use to keep track of where you are in the pattern as you go (and in between putting the needles down and then taking the knitting project back out).

Thank you for all the help reading charts. I'm a fairly new knitter and it has always confused me so I love written instructions but I see how the chart would make it easier. I have a silly question I've always wondered, after casting on is the first row always the right side row? Also, did you say which of your patterns that lace pattern goes with? It's really pretty. 😊

Barbara, please help me how to do these two rows
Row 1 k2 #yfwd, sl1, k1, peso, k2
Repeat from # to end
Row 2 k3, yfwd, sl1, k1, psso, k2,
Repeat to last 3 st, yfwd, sl1, k1, psso, k1
Then I continue in this pattern but it’s not working for me. Don’t I need a purl row between the two rows?

If you are working flat reading a chart and then asked to join in the round do you then start to read all lines in rs or still follow alternates in ws? Also what if the chat asks for a repeat and you finish the round before the repeat is done? Thank you your video is so helpful btw!!!

I find charts difficult when there is multiple sizing . Is there an easy way around the confusion .Thank you.

I can’t find a video that explains the yellow square in a chart; the explanation says: knit, until last repeat of pattern - move marker in front of this stitch so it becomes first on the next round.
When it says KNIT; does it mean to knit according to the chart? (It’s a lace pattern in the round) until the last stitch of that round? And then, move marker? I’m in tears!!

I have knitted a lot. I goy this free pattern at Michael's. It it a mosaic knit wrap made with caron cakes. it has the instructions, then a chart then key. In the instructions it does not say anything about purl. The key says you are suppose to knit. I am confused
