You are by far the best and most informative gig commentator on YouTube. It's much appreciated by many!

I love grubhub. I received a $60 stacked order last night. Both were to really fancy restaurants only had to drive 6 miles.

I just activated my Grubhub card. Will be trying them later in the week. I'm on your heels lol. So far in my area, for me, Uber eats has become my "go to" and DoorDash is my fall back. Uber seems to always send me directly from delivery point to next pick up without hesitation. Their customers seem to tip better also. Last 3 hr Uber shift $90, which would be equal to $112.50 in Philadelphia as your cost of living is 20% higher than where I'm at.

I drive for DD, UE, and GH, having GH last because I was on their wait list for about 3 months. GH by far has the best payouts. Not only do you get paid better by GH themselves, but the tips are way better. Often times in just the tip alone I am making more money than in my total payouts from the other 2. I do notice a little more driving but it pretty much evens itself out, as I might do 10 "short" trips with DD or UE vs 5 "longer" trips with GH, so essentially it is about the same mileage but spread out differently, so I don't mind it. I don't know if GH has their tip expectation laid out differently or what it is but GH customers definitely tip better!

You are right that knowing your region is very important with GH because they don't tell you the mileage. I can take one look at the map and know if an order is worth my time. I might not be able to say that it's exactly 3.8 miles to the customer, but I can look at that order and know that it's worth the $10 they are offering.

Grubhub is my main side hustle in St. Charles, MO (Greater St. Louis). I would say on most days you will average $20-30/hr. If you go into your account and look at your delivery region, you’ll see the hot zones.

Thanks for your videos. I did my first Grubhub shift today. I parked at a Chickfilet. My phone went off in 15 mins the order was far away but I took it because I want my beautiful hot/cold bag! Then 3 more orders right in a row all in my neighborhood. I will never take a faraway order again. But it was worth it hope I get my bags soon. You have to make one delivery before they send you your bag.

Thanks for all your videos guys. I am in the Boston MA area. Metro west. I already have selected a town which has hundreds of upscale restaurants, plenty of parking, massive businesses, no highway involved to deliver, and close to home. I am trying to learn how well doordash is here. I like the fact they give you the most info when an order comes through. At least I think they do.

My biggest gripes with GH are the following... No distance is shown. Can't zoom in or move around the map when a request comes in. You can't cancel on your own within the app like you can with UE & DD.

Great vid, Mike. I only do GH now; decline less and get paid more than other platforms.

I find more driving with grub hub. They send me all over the place.

Hi Mike,
I decided to give GrubHub a try, and before I continue, it's important to note that I use reading glasses to read, cell phone is no exception.
I committed to a 3-hour block (11AM-2PM) during lunch in the middle of the week. In the middle of between my first pick up and the drop off, it was a confusing commercial complex looking for the entrance, and my phone won't stop dinging me. I can't drive with my readers on, and I read without them. So ignored the dinging. By the end of the block they had me down for ignoring 6 offers. And after three hours, I made $28-. Their offers don't show you where you are relative to the pickup. And they don't seem to give a crap how far away you are.
So, in my situation, it seemed like a cluster f**king to me. I'm not discounting anything you say, I'm sure eventually, given enough effort, I could improve my take, but not with GrubHub, not today.

Grubhub in Westchester NY is soo much better than Doordash or Ubereats. I average $30-35/hr.

Mike let me just say your channel is good and I respect the insight you give us on here. By any chance can you do a step by step for new beginners starting grub hub on how to use the app and everything with making a lot of money

I jus got accepted i was on the waiting list for like 3-4 months. And judging by the video and the comments I see why the waiting list is so long. I can’t wait to start.

I am not a fan of the scheduling, and not having the miles on the accept screen sucks. In my market I have accepted what looked like a good money order, only to realize I am being sent way, way out of the market area. I do a much better job of looking at the map now. (90 seconds is plenty of time.) Additionally, you have to actually call support to remove yourself from an order. Blah...

I find I wait a bit more at restaurants than I do for doordash orders. But It also seems like the tips are much better.

I do like how GH tries to preposition with orders even before delivering a current order. Having said that, sometimes it seems like there is no rhyme or reason for where they try to send me for pickups. Where Doordash always sends me to a restaurant right in the area I am in, GH will try to have me pick up orders that are in a completely different area of town than I am sitting in.

Overall I make more per hour with GH, more per order... But if I am not paying attention my dollars per mile can really take a hit with GH.

I do most of my delivery time with GH now, only working DD if they peak pay is good for a particular day or time. I am also signed up with Uber Eats but they just don't get enough business in my area.

An additional tip... something I learned and was really happy about. When GH sends out a message with a promo like $20 for 5 orders by 11:59, it is $20 for each set of 5 deliveries. I have had a couple really great nights with that kind of promo.

I though of one other thing to pass on, and I don't know if this is common. I had my first GH customer cancel and GH only paid me $1 for the order... and I had already went to the restaurant. The real odd thing is that when I got to the restaurant the manager told me that they no longer use GH. Then as I am trying to call support I get a message that the customer cancelled. Strange and irritating, but I still had a good shift.
