Slightly different vibe in this Microsoft Flight Simulator video. Hopefully you enjoy a look at some of the weirder places on Google Maps! If so, leave a like and subscribe for more. Hugs.

Ouf, you mixed up the nuclear weapon stuff. Hiroshima was ~16 KILOtons, or 0.016 megatons. The 57 megatons you mentioned was Tsar Bomba, the largest explosive device ever detonated.

I downloaded the offline data for Xbox so I could fly over the Forth Rail and road bridges (they’re not on the online stream) but…. while the estate I stay in is now 3D the houses are all Tudor style- despite them not being and being in Scotland 😂
The local (modern) church is also now a huge cathedral style building.

Pinch of salt needed I think 😂

8:57 It is likely so that if it is attacked, ordnance dropped on one warehouse won't destroy the others around it

The real mystery is why a house in Australia was accidentally made 212 stories tall instead of only 2

I live really close to Volkel, and I actually did an internship there a few years ago. I was in the VTO department (voertuigonderhoud, or vehicle maintainence.) There are parts of the base that only American officers can enter, and nobody speaks about nukes. I asked about the nukes once to a higher ranking officer, he laughed and said not to ask about these things.

Also, the F16 statue is a street or 2 away from the base. Its in the middle of a roundabout.

Thanks for the cool video!

I live near volkel airbase myself and the f16 statue is located south east of the airbase on a roundabout in real life, the nuclear bombs are there, eventhough they technically aren't located in the Netherlands cause that is a bit of us airspace above it. My dad has worked there in the 90s and he could point the hangers were they are laying on Google maps

You made an error on the nuclear weapons, Cannikin Test on November 6 1971 in Amchitka was around 5 Megatons that's true but this Weapon was allready 385 Times stronger than the Little Boy Bomb in Hiroshima wich had 13 Kilotons, 57 Megatons was the estimated Explosion Power of the soviet AN602 Bomb it was tested on the nowaja semlja Island 30th October 1961 this was the stongest nuclear weapon ever tested 4385 Times Hiroshima, the strongest US Test was Castle Bravo 1954 15 Megatons, Cannikin was the strongest US Underground Test, The Orange Herald tested by United Kingdom 31 May 1957 was the largest pure-fission nuclear weapon ever tested (so without the heavy hydrogen Isotopes deuterium or tritium or lithium deuterite) this weapon had 720 Kilotons, Weapons like AN602, Cannik or Castle Bravo that conntain this isotopes are called Thermonuclear Weapons (Fusion Weapon, hydrogen bomb or H-Bomb) they can have an Explosive Power up to 100 Megatons = Kilotons wich is 7692 Times Hiroshima, The smallest nuclear weapon was the US W54 Davy Crockett Warhead from the late 50s with 20 Tons TNT equivalent wich is 650 Times less Hiroshima it had a Range of 2 Kilometers and could be fired from two soldiers mounted on a launcher with tripod, the launcher could be also mounted on a willys jeep and fired directly from the jeep
