I Discovered Terrifying Beauty on Google Earth

Searching in a remote part of the American Southwest led me to finding a canyon rich in ancient history and unusual geologic structures.

I decided to backpack here for 3 days. What I discovered on my first day took my breath away, and left me convinced that I was never truly alone in the course of this hike.

This was probably one of the best places I have ever flown my Drone.

As always, please leave a place better than you found it. Thanks for watching, and make sure to subscribe to The_POV_Channel for lots more like this.

I love that you don’t add music to your drone footage, thus not diverting our senses from the epic visual beauty.

Your dog's instincts are perfect for not going into the water in the cave, and he was worried about you going in too!

Australia here! Great content and beautiful scenery! Please do not go into water filled mines, especially hot water ones! Water leaches heavy metals and toxins like arsenic and your skin absorbs them. You have seen green rocks on your adventures, these are rocks with high levels of copper in them (copper goes green as it oxidises, like how iron goes red/rusty brown). All these metals are associated with other metals, which are toxic to humans. Never swim in those old mine ponds, lakes. Take care and thanks for the wonderful beauty you show the world. Louis.

I’ve been around. All 50 States and 27 countries. Lived in 8 of those. Yet I’ve never explored the mountains and cavern of the West. I really, really appreciate your sharing the footage. You’ll remember the adventures fondly when you’re older and can’t physically do that anymore. Better to remember than regret not trying.

As a wildlife control agent in SW Virginia (JDF Wildlife - YT) I thank you for bringing awareness to the great benefit bats provide for the environment. One of my favorite aspects of being a WCA is the fact I get to help educate folk. It's incredible how easy one can calm another's anxiety just by providing a little knowledge in a compassionate manner. I know as far as we are concerned in SWVA our bat populations are generally very healthy. Currently, our biggest concern with rabies is brewing in the fox population, which is sad, but even so, the number of cases is still very low. As far as I'm aware, bats are generally the least likely to have rabies compared with racoons and foxes. Anywho, thanks for a great exploration video. That was quite enjoyable.

The dog whining as you went into the mine shaft gave me such an eerie feeling

I'm 67 now and haven't been out in nature hiking in 2 years now.
Thank you for letting me experience it still, through your videos.
Much appreciation.

I used to do this, go to places in the American southwest with my dog, my VW bus, and stay to hike, swim, all alone. There's is nothing more gratifying to my mind, nothing. Thanks for taking me there again.

Gratitude. As a 64 year old arthritic person, I am past my days of exploring or hiking. Thank you for going, filming and posting! So cool!

I think the absence of music during the drone shots is what makes this so unique. It pulls you in; it's surreal, as if you're experiencing it with you; it's my second favorite part, aside from the great storytelling and dialogue. Keep up the great work and be safe out there. This is quite literally my new favorite YouTube channel

Give your dog all the love you have, he's obviously bonded with you and that's so special. The two of you are an exceptional team. Keep up the great work. (Please)

The drone footage with birds chirping and sounds of the streams is amazing!

11:30 my friend, I'll give you some advice: always listen to your dog if he whines and appears nervous, they have much more developed senses than ours...

This is the most criminally under-subscribed channel on YouTube. Thank you so much for taking me to incredible places and to see things I’ll never see in person. What a gift this channel is. Stay safe ❤

There is so much to find in Utah! Thanks for putting a new perspective on bats for me . I am a 54 yr old disabled lady in NC. I have FSHD2 Muscular Dystrophy, so my hiking days are long over when I lost my ability to walk (as well as becoming more and more bed ridden). Have you ever explored the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina? I never got to hike/explore the Blue Ridge Mountains as much as Appy. it would definitely be a heavy bush whacking deal to get around and of course we have a dense pop of bears. Man, I can't thank you enough for bringing your explorations to full life for us all. Much love and respect from a Lil ole lady in NC, US.

I think this channel just may be the best exploration channel on YouTube. There’s something about the way you do these videos, that makes them so beautiful. The cinematography, the adventure, your voice, no music. It’s all so perfect, it’s so satisfying and beautiful. Please never stop making videos of your travels.

My Aussie was a fabulous hiking dog and protector. So smart!. I always had herd mixes from the shelter, finally had to have a purebred Aussie but from an ethical source. Like magic, went to the shelter and found one who had been waiting for me there for 2 hours. He was about 1.5 years old, taken in as owner surrendered. Had him 11 years, died unexpectedly 7 years ago. I still grieve that best dog in the world who waited for me.

America is truly beautiful and the national parks are criminally underrated. Rather be here than Paris, Sydney or London

The drone scenery is so magnificent that it is easy to forget or overlook how that footage even comes to be. And then, how it comes here to be seen. The sandstone footage could be so easily taken for granted. Nice work. All round. Quite an accomplishment for a guy and his dog. He is doing it, y'all.

I was born and reared in the west. Northern Nevada then Southern Nevada. As spent lots of time in southern Utah and Northern Arizona. All God's country. I would want to weep when it came time to leave. Such beauty. None of the elbow to elbow with people....just you and yours. So beautiful.

I am grateful to be spending time with you as you explore. Thank-you.
