Studio Headphones Under $50 | Review

Hey guys! In this video I compare 2 pairs of studio headphones to each other, which are in the same ballpark price-wise, both under $50. They are the AKG K44 and the MAONO AU-MH601 Studio Monitor Headphones. Let me know what you guys think as well!

It has been about 5 months of me using the Maono headphones regularly so I figured I would post an update here to talk a little bit about the reliability of the Maono headphones. The cable that plugs into the headphones (or possibly the jack in the headphone itself) is starting to become less functional. When the cable moves inside the jack it sometimes produces some distortion and also sometimes the audio will drop out from the right side, so they are definitely not as reliable as the AKG headphones. I still use them because they are more comfortable than the AKG headphones, but I figured I should post about the issues that I have been having.

Good video. The cables are close to the same size, the reason for the coil is to not accidentally just yank them out of the port...

Hey man, I was scampering online stores to look for budget monitor headphones since I'm starting out with my home studio. Already have the midi keyboard, pc, amp, and peripherals, but the one thing I couldn't comfortably buy were monitor headphones since the price difference was incredibly high, leading me to doubt the performance. But because of your review, I was able to make the decision to get the Maono monitor but also an extra wire for the headphones. All I can say is thank you and I hope you get big!

Just was trying to get a grasp of the cheaper studio monitor scene, as I'm trying to find a set for my guitar practice sessions, and have other's around who don't care for my playing as it disturbs their privacy. The jacks will require that you clean them to eliminate poor connections. Mostly dust causes the problem.
