I have a Hero 2018 that two weeks ago i updated via software hack to 5 Black in a few minutes for the looping feature mainly. I can't believe Go Pro never patched it. I may set it as a rear facing dash cam as my vehicle has a dedicated front dash cam.

Is this good for shooting the road from the dash while I drive? My truck came with a gopro windshield mount but no camera. I was going to get either the 5 or the 7. Thankyou
