you must need careful planning to get the recess line up perfectly with the grout lines of the main wall. What is the black trim / edging pieces?

I don’t know wtf I would be doing but there’s no spacers in between the tiles. That’s not normal right?

Looks sweet, one thing you could have done better, is use solid surface, would have been better for water intrusion for the 4 perimeter sides of the niche 2CM material. Or 3.
