I drop citrus peels in a big 5 gallon pickle jar, fill it halfway with distilled vinegar and add in citrus peels as I'm done using them. After a month, I remove the citrus peels and I have a nice vinegar I can use for cleaning and a room freshener, countertop cleaner and other cleaning uses. The combination of citrus smells fantastic and is a great degreaser!

I mix dried orange zest with a little mineral/cooking oil and let it sit overnight. Then I mix a teaspoon of the oil with 1L of water and a squirt of dishwashing liquid, shake well and use it as foliar spray for my vegetables. Very organic way to control pests, fungus and disease and my pets are safe from toxic chemicals.

I make a citrus laundry booster, and a spray cleaning bottle for my bathroom and surfaces.
In a mason jar, i add the orange/lemon peels along with any herbs of your choice, i love eucalyptus or rosemary then add 90% white distilled vinegar and some cold water. Close the lid and wait 3-4 days, the color will change and it sill smell amazing! Strain it and store in a amber glass spray bottle or transfer in another mason jar and add to your dirty
laundry along with the soap! ( You can also add essential oils, its a great, natural non-toxic disinfectant cleaner!)

Since watching this video: I have used the orange peel to wash my kitchen sink and it gave it a nice shine and cleaned the toilet and it also removed limescale. It been a great eye opener.tanx

I zest orange/lemon peels and make infused salts, baking soda and sugar for kitchen/spa uses. Baking soda and salt with dish soap makes excellent pot/pans cleaner. Add olive/coconut oil with salt/sugar for a foot/hand scrub OR do switch it to epsom salt for a foot soak. 👍 thanks for all these other ideas 💕

When you have squeezed orange juice, squeeze the used peel halves and rub one on upholstered furniture to keep cats from sharpening their claws on it.

Use the whole orange including the peel in smoothies. Quarter a whole orange then toss in a blender with water. Adding other fruits and healthy stuff like whey protein, nutritional yeast, nori seaweed, nuts, natto is a hit for me. The fiber and nutrients can be astoundingly healthy.
