Hello just something that you can use for cough, especially during winter and a asthma cough, clean onion cut into slices put the slices in a boul sprinkle brown sugar on top, cover it for a few hours, drink the syrup when needed it really works, our great grandparents used this syrup in the consentration camps and is much cheaper than cough syrup

If you burn yourself in the kitchen or anywhere else cut open an onion and put it on the affected area for about 10 minutes, it will burn a little but you will not have a blister nor any mark left on your skin. I’ve used this all my life for my family and friends when the case presented itself. Advise received from my grandmother over 60 years ago.

My Mom use to hook rugs. She dyed her own wool. We use to save all kinds of onion skins for her to dye the wool. The colors came out beautiful whether it was red skins or yellow.

When I was five I was eating an apple and a wasp landed on it, needless to say it stung my tongue. A gypsy told my mum to cut a slice of onion and put it on the sting. This drew the sting out and prevented me from dying as my tongue swelled like a balloon.

I didn’t read all the comments so I don’t know if someone already said the tip I will tell you for onion skins, one of my sisters older friends told her and it is GREAT take your skins and put them in with your eggs when making hard boiled eggs, the skins turn the shells a slight brown color, and when you put them back in the carton in the fridge after cooking, you will ALWAYS KNOW which are cooked already and which are raw....

My grandma said eating a raw onion gets rid of worms. One of my aunts had worms when she was kid. That aunt is in her 70s today. I believe in these old remedies, but glad I never had to use this one.
