The staff told Selena that Francia was a match BEFORE they told Francia, the donor. Francia first heard she was a match FROM SELENA. She couldn't say no. Doctors should tell the donor before the recipient so they can make the decision, not the recipient guilt tripping the donor.

Francia might have donated it willingly but it was a messed up situation. The doctors should've told Francia first that she's a match & let HER decide if she wants to proceed with the donation. Instead they told Selena first. Like how was she supposed to say no or even think it through. Receiving an organ is nothing but giving away an organ is a very big surgery with all sorts of complications & you could even die from it. Shame on those doctors & tbh Selena as well for calling & telling her personally that she was a match.

I obviously don’t know either of these women personally. I don’t know what they’re truly like. But, giving one of your kidneys to a friend to save their life, probably ended up putting a strain on the relationship. Maybe Francia didn’t think Selena was appreciative enough or wasn’t living the best lifestyle. She may have felt ownership of the kidney still, in the sense that she wanted it to be taken care of. After all, she is living with one kidney now and that’s a huge commitment. I think there’s a lot of heavy, confusing, difficult emotions that go along with being a donor to someone so close. God bless her for being so unbelievably selfless and devoted.

To be fair, none of us will ever know what happened between them because we aren't them. There could be a completely reasonable reason as to why there was a falling out. We will never truly know exactly what happened.

I have drifted apart from friends, sometimes people change or circumstances change and you stop feeling connected. Is very hard to overcome, glad they did.

Respectfully, this is why organ donors are anonymous. The anonymity is guarded to protect both parties against abuse, manipulation or financial pressure. I see Francia and her fanbase dabbling and treading a fine line between those.

I hope one day a friend and I can reconcile. It's been almost a year since our falling out, little contact since then. I miss her a lot. I hope we can overcome the hurt and just start fresh. Sometimes there are people who come into your life and change it for the better. I cross my fingers we'll reconcile like Francia and Selena did.
