California fires have been destructive in Los Angeles County as crews battled several massive blazes, including the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, Hurst Fire, Kenneth Fire, Sunset Fire, Lidia Fire and Woodley Fire. Areas impacted included the Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Pasadena, Sylmar, Encino, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Hollywood Hills, West Hills, Acton and parts of Ventura County.

We all agree that water is the foundation of life. Every living organism depends on it. Imagine if all the water you depend on – rivers, lakes, underground reservoirs – dried up or sank deep into the earth where you couldn’t access it. Who or what could bring it back? Can humans truly control such forces of nature?

Even with all our technology, we cannot make fresh water appear out of nowhere. Desalination, rainmaking, or other methods are limited. Doesn’t this suggest a power greater than humans?

Water is perfectly designed to sustain life, cycling through evaporation, rain, and rivers. Isn’t this an intelligent system? Wouldn’t it make sense that a Creator designed this system with precision?

Scientists estimate that only 1% of the Earth's water is fresh and accessible. Much of it is stored deep underground. Even the most advanced methods struggle to reach such depths.

Be humble to Allah and be grateful to Him for things that He gives we often take for granted. Don’t we think it’s humbling how fragile life is? It is Allah who creates water for us. Recognize Allah’s sovereignty. Glorify Him, bow to Him and prostrate to Him alone. appreciate the everyday blessings that sustain us from His Mercy.

Quran 2:255 Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills ˹to reveal˺. His Throne  encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.

Quran 2:256 Let there be no compulsion in religion, for the truth stands out clearly from falsehood. So whoever renounces false gods and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest, unfailing hand-hold. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
