ADHD: Social Anxiety and Miscommunication | Nonverbal Communication Challenges. Do you struggle with social anxiety? Do you struggle with communication? Are you finding yourself more and more often hiding behind digital communications?

Jeff Copper, an ADHD and attention coach, discusses the challenges of nonverbal communication in digital communication. He explains that 70% of communication is nonverbal, and when we communicate digitally, we lose this crucial aspect. This can lead to miscommunication and social anxiety. He gives an example of how a simple sigh in a phone conversation can convey a lot of information that would be lost in a text message. He emphasizes the importance of picking up the phone and having a conversation, even if it feels less efficient. This allows for better understanding and avoids misunderstandings. Copper encourages people, especially millennials who rely heavily on digital communication, to step out of their comfort zones and engage in face-to-face or phone conversations. He suggests seeking help from a coach or mentor if needed.
Overall, the video highlights the importance of nonverbal communication and encourages viewers to prioritize human interaction over digital communication to avoid miscommunication and social anxiety.

Hey Jeff,
I don’t know if you’re interested in some constructive feedback, but if one of your goals is to grow the reach of your channel (which I hope is the case! you share valuable insights and I would hope as many people as possible benefit from them) my personal recommendation is looking into a graphic designer to help update the channel’s layout, thumbnails, and so on. It’s a simple change, and won’t affect the content itself at all, but something that is very important in Youtube as most people might not even give many channels or videos a chance based on their appearance and thumbnails. I hope you find this comment helpful :)

I wish I didn't have to watch these ADHD videos like 3 times in a row just to retain the information. I lose focus so quickly.
