WOW! We did not expect this! (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) Balad Beast Music Festival #jeddah

In this video of Living the Jo Life, we have a crazy night out at the BALAD BEAST Music Festival in Al Balad, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A large section of Al Balad was blocked off for this event, which featured five stages with DJs playing techno, R&B, hip hop, pop and indie music, live performances and various kinds of entertainment. This World Heritage Site used to be the gateway to Makkah for Muslim pilgrims arriving by sea, but it was completely transformed for two nights into an open-air nightclub with lots of young people having fun and dancing. Al Balad is known for its historic buildings, often built of coralstone with colored wooden bay windows and balconies (rawashin) dating back more than 400 years. The old historic buildings were beautifully lit up with vibrant colorful lights and patterns. It was an amazing experience to see the old town of Jeddah come alive.

Wow....that's not what I expected over there. Very interesting. Cant believe all that lighting all over the buildings. They sure put a lots of work into making it into a fun and happy experience. They sure know how to impress. So many different styles of music and so nice to see all the happy smiling and laughing people out and about. Reminded me a little of a place here in Brisbane Australia called "Eat Street".. Great pity Ella wasn't there. Great job JO's showing us that fascinating place.
