I'm 65, and also grew up watching Star Trek with my father (but starting with the original series). For the last decade I've been torn apart by where this country and the world may be heading. With the current momentum that basic sanity and decency have finally regained, I am greatly relieved. But with the generation coming on the scene that AOC so ably reflects, I can now even hope that my childhood dreams may yet be fulfilled.

As a former Pizzeria Uno employee (NZ), hearing that AOC chant was sublime - signalling not just the death of Trumpism, but the rebirth of next generation politics instead of zero sum politics. Still facing big questions, like how many next generations there will be. And, have we left it too late as a species? But answering questions with knowledge not wilful ignorance.
