I’m on day 2 post-op tonsillectomy. Pain management is pretty good. I’m just annoyed at the discomfort from the slight swelling. However, I’m grateful. My 4 c-sections, tubal ligation, 4 wisdom teeth extracted and 2 molar teeth removed were painful than this. Nevertheless, I need to remain humble. The surgery experience was great though. My surgery team also packed on the humor while I was awake and after waking back up from anesthesia.❤

good thing i didnt have bleeding, my mom kickstarted me on some normal food. that nasty taste of the scabbing ruined my appetite so i ate softer and smoother foods. it helped, and it went away a few days later. i think day 3-7 was the worst for my recovery since i also got my adenoids removed too. ear trauma sucks. i would wake up crying and screaming from pain in my ears. a nice massage helps. i feel better now, its day 20 for me, and i feel normal.

I was that one person falling under that 2 to 5% 😢
I lost so much blood,
Every other night I use to lay down to sleep and bleeding use to happen I was rushed to emergency

Once I am at emergency blood use to stop and they send me back home and it kept happening 3 times in total
3 rd time the blood didn’t stop that’s when hospital decided to burn those blood vessels

I was on Gatorade for whole one month I was so scared to eat any food after those episodes.( this was back in 2010 )

Now recently my son had his T&A removed
Now I make sure to wake him up every 2 hrs and make him drink water

Hello, I have one question please,
I had tonsillectomy almost four days ago. It doesn't hurt much and I can easily eat liquid and soft foods. But sometimes I feel a special taste in my mouth. In my opinion, it is possible that the surgical site is infected because the surgical site has turned yellow and white, but I am not sure. I wanted to know how to be sure if it is infected or not,

thank you

So i had a tonsil surgery like 3 weeks ago but last week my mouth started bleeding because of small part that didnt heal properly and i was 3 days in hospital and it was a scary expirience i was shaking and i fainted so guys in my country after tonsil surgery you cant drink from water bottle for about 1, 5 months because if you do you might bleed

Can someone help me out. On day 6 I was spitting out blood for 30m then it stopped, not much pain when it was bleeding. Idk if it’s a lot. My saliva was bright bloody for sure. On day 8 today. I spat out a huge bright red saliva after brushing my teeth then no more bleeding after. Should I be okay?

The pain did ramp up to 8-9 and it hurt to my ear to my temples from day 6-7. Swallow does hurt still. I can’t tell if it’s normal or not honestly.
