My aunt did it. My mom said it was one of the most incredible things she had ever seen. She's a skinny skinny woman my nature, birthing a biggg and very long Cherokee baby, she had a completely natural/un-medicated birth, didn't scream at all, and only groaned one time when she was pulling the baby out herself, with the final push. Wild...

I totally believe in hypnotherapy. I worked for a mental health counselor who did this type of therapy regularly. He once had a patient who was allergic to almost every known anesthesia who needed a hysterectomy. They worked together for several months and he was allowed in the surgical suite to help her through it. Isn't that amazing?!!

I had all 5 of my kids natural.. in the hospital but no medication and I tell you it is the most pride filled moment as a mother. It's all about your mentality. ❤

About to give birth to our 5th baby. We had two home births unmedicated and one hospital unmedicated. The home births were something else! You don’t know just how capable you are of something so incredibly awesome until you do it!
Pray for our 5th child’s delivery to be just as surreal as our last ones ♥️

I definitely believe in this but I also think having a supportive partner like hers be actively present during this time also makes a world of a difference during birth.

And if your labor doesn't look like this...that's fine. You're still as strong and awesome mama ❤

I used hypnobirth technique with my second child - although premature labour. Wonderful! Unmedicated, very fast and easy natural birth. I was alble to ignore all the medical staff shouting at me to 'puuush" and all I did was the very opposite: I totally relaxed my body and the child flew out of me effortlessly..no tearing, no blood losses, and I pushed the placenta out on the next contraction. After that I eas fiull of energy and natural oxytocyne. All for hypnobirthing, no doubt ❤️💞💓

I had two babies in the 80's, unmedicated, and my labor and deliveries on both were fine, I don't know if it's the same thing as this but I talked to myself for hours while in labor, and also using mind over matter talks, and I was fine, and didn't cry, scream out, or make a sound, and I was fine !!!

I wanted this so badly with my baby, but ended up with pre-eclampsia and had the exact opposite to save our lives. Friendly reminder to moms who have to deviate from that awesome birth plan, You did amazingly, it's uncommon for things to go as planned, and having an epidural or C-section etc is not less than "natural". Any style of birth is badass! No shade to the natural mommas. They are Queens too. Just a reminder bc the guilt when we fall short here can be horrible.

I was so bless with all three of ny children, my labors only lasted no more than 5 hours, even my first and I was adamant about no pain meds and I would not have changed it for the world. My three children r all grown up now and r the sweetest most amazing people, that I see almost everyday. My pregnancies were wonderful as weel as everything else, Im so blessed .

I used to be terrified of giving birth. I had my first baby at a birthing center with no pain medication in August 2022. For months I had filled my mind with positive unmedicated birth stories, and knew that I didn’t want to give birth in a hospital. I was in labor for 30 hours, and at the birthing center for 17 hours. My husband kept me fueled with snacks, water, and electrolyte drinks. It was dark, quiet, and I was so relaxed. I did listen to a hypnobirthing track for bit, but it just didn’t work for me.. It was way less painful than I anticipated. When I was in transition, I had no idea. I did use a TENS machine, which I highly, highly recommend. My husband and doula also applied back pressure and hip squeezes. I want to have my next baby at a birthing center, and I highly recommend it to all mothers. I think the fact that I was so relaxed and not tense and nervous like I would have been at a hospital helped so much.

I did that and for being my first time the nurses and midwives were extremely surprised I gave birth in 4 hours with no complaints about pain. Mind y’all I have high tolerance for pain and require loads of medication to subside it. I didn’t want that in my body nor the baby. Don’t be afraid of the pain and this breathing technique helps control your emotions so they don’t take over therefore making the whole birthing process worst.

I second this! I used Hypnobirthing for all 3 babies. No tearing, no pain and quick birth all under 3 hours from start to finish. ( Active labor) I recommend anyone who is curious to try. The most you have to lose is nothing ! ❤

I’m sooo happy I had an epidural. Moms who go unmedicated are on another level! Congrats to you all :)

No intervention. She did well, and I'm happy to see more NATURAL births any time it's possible. They got in the habit of high medications and lots of interventions somewhere in the 80s thru 2000s. I was lucky. 48 hrs labor 10 lb boy nobody and nothing not even an aspirin to help the process or pain. Yes, I meant what I said. LUCKY to have done it. 😊 Just me and my brain telling me how to help the pain. This woman is a hero♥️❤️

Two key elements supportive birth attendants and mom's strong desire for a natural birth.

People also don’t realise hypnobirthing can be used alongside a medicated birth (so in all eventualities) - from planned or emergency c sections, to the use of gas & air / morphine, right through to a drug free labour. It’s about the peace it brings and staying calm throughout.
