People dont want the video out because it clearly shows the shark was hungry and planned on eating the man! This wasn't mistaken identity like professionals like to say🤦🏻‍♂️ people that swim in the ocean need to see the vid because itll make you second guess going out again which leads to saving lives

The shark ate the food it saw in front of it. We swim slowly, have no defense, and are easy to take. Sucks for him but a risk he took nonetheless. There's no painting this any other way than it was. An animal doing what an animal does.

A shark is a predator. That shark was hungry. It ate the meat. It left the scene. Sharks have done it before. Sharks will do it again. So, let's stop acting like the mayor of Amity Island. RIP Simon Nellist.

A shark apologist! Stop it, when you are in the ocean... you are food.

As usual these Shark Experts trying to make these attacks so complicated...These GW Sharks will Bite and try to chew on just about ANYTHING including Car tires/Steel Cage bars/Paint cans/Boats...But Attacking a Human who has MEAT and BLOOD is Complicated and Surprising?...Enough already

As a great man Hal once remember if you get in that water. You, are a lot more afraid of them sharks, than they are of you.

Seeing where it happened, I would never have been confident enough to swim there, even though it was close to the rocks it was still far out from the beach

Sharks are predators. Don't listen to these "shark lovers". We risk our lives whenever we go into the sea

I feel like this was more than just tragic bad luck. He was swimming in deep water that lacked visibility and fisherman were throwing bait right where he was swimming. It is awful and I place no blame on this dear man. But let’s educate people on what not to do so people are less likely to meet this terrible end.

Sharks have electromagnetic sensors that detect heartbeat. Heartbeat equals a food source to a shark. Simon was swimming over deep water with a rocky shoreline wearing a black wetsuit imitating a slow moving seal swimming with baitfish. He made several mistakes that led to the attack.

gee their expert is not much help, how about dont swim near seals, dont swim across open water where it drops off ledges to deep water, they are catching pelagics off them rocks for christ sakes, burleying up with fish stuffs and god knows what else, he was a dive instructor surely he had to know the danger of swimming around deep drop offs like that.another thing is that shark although agro and determined wasnt big i would be surprised if it was 4 metres.Anyways no one deserves to go out like that and pretty distressing hearing his screams and trying to get away from it, i cant get it out of my head and makes me realise how lucky my mate and i were 40 odd years ago at a notorious white shark beach in Sth Aust where people had been taken whilst surfing, we had a god knows how big a fish go underneath us and it was within 2 metres of us and we didnt even see it until it rolled and as soon as i seen white i almost fainted or something like it through fear cause i knew GW, but it did whatever it was doing and left us alone and that was the most harrowing how ever long it took to get to the beach, i was only 14 i couldnt even talk when i got out the water i was frazzled for a while after that.RIPsimon condolences to your girl and family. PS dont be thinking flipper is any help cause its every man and dolphin for themselves when jaws is on the rampage!

It’s like getting PETA to explain why a pitbull attacked a person. They are already in favor of the animal.

That shark was laid off that morning and Simon paid the price. Sharks are taught that humans are special and aren't food. Everyone knows this!

I am amazed at the amazement over this incident. Deep water off Australia where bait is in the water!? Really, it's to be expected .. eventually.

It’s not normal shark behaviour, ok 😂
Because their labelled predators for no reason, So life guards sit out from 6am to 8pm with drones patrolling the water for no reason lol.
Not normal shark behaviour, stap dat 😂😂
