If you’ve ever asked yourself “Why do I always regret everything?” or struggled with letting go of past mistakes, this video is for you. In this short but powerful piece, we explore how to stop feeling regret, forgive yourself, and finally start dealing with regret and guilt in a healthier way. Voiced by Spencer and animated by Andrew. This is part of our effort to bring you something different on Psych2Go—more emotionally grounded, visually expressive, and relatable. This is my third video as a Psych2Go animator! Thank you all for watching. While it's the shortest video I've done yet, and shorter than most of the videos on this channel, each video is approached differently, and this time we took this script and produced it more like an animated short with one linear narrative, instead of a slice-of-life infomercial. I suggested making the Regret Gremlin a character, and they became the antagonist of the project, guiding Psi through an adventure through their past and future. Your mental health matters. Take care of yourself and continue supporting the channel!

1. Stopped doubting myself & took action without hesitation
2. Learned to be comfortable in silence
3. Cut off weak people who drained my energy
4. Built mental toughness by embracing discomfort
5. Read the book called Ascendarium
6. Stopped making excuses and took full control of my life
7. Learned to turn my anger into focus instead of wasting energy
8. Became the type of man people respect without me having to say a word
9. Stopped being reactive and became calculated in everything I do
10. Realized that the world bends to those who refuse to break

Amazing video. I wake up hoping it was just a bad dream but it's reality, my husband has left me. No matter how much I tell myself to move forward, my heart refuses to let go. I just want to turn back time and hold onto him one more time

I have a lot of regrets, mistakes, flaws, failures and faults too but at the same time I'm just glad that I'm no longer that hard on myself and realise that reflection can be a key to growing.

Couldn't have posted this at a better time... I've been dealing with regret, embarrassment and berating myself over my past decisions and struggling to move on from them... I really wish to get out of this spiral... I think self love is the answer to this feeling.

1:19 Reframe your perspective - "Past me made a choice with the knowledge they had"

1:42 Accept that perfection is a myth - There is no perfect path, only the one you choose

2:10 The 5 year rule - Ask yourself "Will this matter in 5 years?"

2:29 Use regret to level up - Use it to make wiser decisions

I regret not taking life or myself seriously when I was younger.
After I began working out last year, I regret not doing that 20 years ago
😮‍💨

But now I'm here at 37 years old and I'm healthier than ever.
If I keep this up, my past self won't regognize me anymore 😁

I got reminded about real event OCD after watching this video. Real Event OCD is a subtype of OCD where individuals obsess over past actions or events, fearing they were immoral, harmful, or embarrassing. Unlike other OCD types, the concern is based on actual occurrences, not hypothetical fears. People with Real Event OCD ruminate excessively, feel intense guilt or shame, seek reassurance and continuously apologize for what they have done as compulsions. This cycle leads to distress and doubt about their character. I would request Psy2Go team to make more videos on many themes of OCD. And please pin this comment.

I like to treat regrets as lessons myself, question them and try to do differently the next time.

I am someone who have a of regrets about my attitude on social medias since I was on it at 13y old during my teen years-
tho I have learned a lot from it and apologised to the peoples I have been bad to, the regrets are still eating up my mood, and this video helped me a lot.

I have way more regrets than I can count, but I’ve learned a lot from them and have been improving as a person. Welcome, Spencer!

Honestly? Regret is the thing I think that rules my life more than anything. And not just over little stupid things. I’ve made some big mistakes in my life and I feel like I can’t forget them, nor forgive myself.

Self-compassion is such a nice, easy word. If only I could figure out how it works...

Regret is something I’ve been dealing with ALOT the last 2 months now, having not too many regrets, but the ones I do have are pretty big. I’ve been working through it though. Trying my best to manage it all. And this definitely helps.

I regret so many things but i guess my biggest regret is not learning about myself when i was younger and thinking i was broken. I did what i did to fit in, to protect myself, and to not feel so sensitive about stuff. Now, almost 35, I am finally finding myself, loving my sensitivity (most days) and my overall queerness. This regret doesnt help me grow or love myself more and so i shall let it go. Fantastic video and i hope to see more like it in the future.
