Hi everyone,

This will be the official recruitment thread for my X-COM Enemy Unknown Season 2 playthrough where YOU can be a big part of the action.

In X-COM, you have the ability to customize your soldiers by name. On a first come, first serve basis, I will be using the names of people who sign up below to put you in the action. I will do my best to keep you alive, but as you know, in X-COM, there can be many casualties.

Last season we had so many amazing journals. Here is a link to check them out.

Last season I mentioned that the journals are optional. THIS season that will be a little bit different. I'm looking to do this as a full on role play style series. I would even like to incorporate some of the journals into the videos somehow. Since we all know the XCOM story, this is 100% about the story that you guys will create.

Here's how it works for Season 2:

1) Reply to this thread ONCE by stating the following:

First Name:
Last Name:
Reason for application to X-COM: (This is where you start your backstory. Make it count soldier!)
Pledge: I have, on this day, voluntarily enlisted myself, as an elite military soldier, in the X-COM special forces. I am giving myself, unconditionally, to the cause. I do bind myself to conform, in all instances, to such rules and regulations, as set forth by my supreme commander ChristopherOdd. I trust him with my life. And by taking this oath, I realize, I may ultimately lose something while defending the planetary systems. My life.

2) In the order that you have posted here, I will be using your supplied names as a new recruit for my XCOM play through. Depending on how many people sign up, you may be in the game VERY soon, or you may have to wait until someone is KIA and you're called up as a replacement.

3) I will post a new thread after the first XCOM Season 2 video is posted and that's where the journal entries will go.

4) HAVE FUN WITH IT!

PS. GRELITE will be back with some very special journal entries throughout the season

You deserve a lot more subscriptions. You have a clear commentator' voice. Your LP-style is different from most. You really try to immerse yourself into the game and to engage with the narrative and your subscribers. Also trying to play the game as it was probably intented (i.e. stealth for Metro Last Light). For me, it's very entertaining to watch you play and talk. I thought about starting a LP channel too, then I came across your channel and kept watching. Keep up the good work Mr.Odd. :)

So I accidently wrote a ton for my backstory and before posting I listened to this again and heard it was only a blurb... So now I'm a couple of spaces back from where I would be but now I really have a feel for my character and for that I am happy ^.^

Btw, if u dont get into the first draft of soldiers, can u still post in the journal thread? Like it'd still be based off the events in the story and everything, but it'd be to sorta expand the narrative for if/when they get in.

Hey, Odd, long time viewer, frequent commentator. Just posted my entry. I somehow ended up on the first season page, so thanks for emailing me a warning. I posted it on the new page, but it is in the old format, and probably contains more information then you need, such as a detailed back-story and a pre-mission journal entry, so sorry about that. I feel I've made an interesting character, and I'm excited since there are only 21 people in front of me. I just hope I'm not killed five minutes in.
