One day I saw the same homeless man sitting outside my Walmart (I'm an assistant manager) and I got upset and wished he would leave. Immediatly an unsaved, cigarette smoking foul mouthed dude in a wife beater shows up and offers the dude food and gave him a place to stay for the night. My heart sank. I'm so dang wretched man. God forgive me, mold me, make me less like me and more like you Jesus AMEN

I’m 14years old and I go to a public school and I understand completely it’s so hard to listen to the complete disregard for the LORD disregard for the fear of the LORD and I get tempted by these things and I have to pray day after day that the LORD would keep my eyes on him.

Hello dear christian, from personal encounters within my work place (a big bank in the US), let me tell you the world we live in is depraved and wicked. THOSE WHO ARE LOST ARE ACTUALLY HAPPY ABOUT THE WORLD. You don't have to worry. This is how the world is. Keep your eyes on Christ. There is no way you will feel happy in this world, if your Destination is Heaven. Remember this world is the heaven of those who are destined for hell.

Apostle Paul quoted the Greek philosophers in Acts while ministering the gospel. He used something they related to and knew in order to explain the good news.

Jonathan Haidt is an atheist, and his books have had one of the biggest impacts on my life, have changed my daily interactions forever, and have enriched my understanding of Christianity and my relationship with God. I highly recommend his work.

I learned a lot from non-Christians! How to be Christ-like! They treat me with more respect..than a Christian does.

Sometimes I take notes while listening to this podcast. These are m notes for this one.
We human beings have to learn almost everything. How should we be educated?

1) There is knowledge of God. By parents, by sages (the wise), teachers, esp. in the church.
We ought to keep on growing in the knowledge and understanding of the Lord throughout our entire lives. We should have our eyes open and observe the world seriously, e.g. consider the ant, lilies, bird, use reason, use mature thinking.

2) There is knowledge of the world that overlaps with that of unbelievers.
Value judgments (right/wrong, good/bad, beautiful/ugly, etc.) come to the forefront the most in the humanities and social sciences. Which teachers and classes will distort body of knowledge and value judgments the most? How can you avoid them the best you can?

i want to say to this girl who asked the question: you are not alone in beeing saddened by the lack of morality and holy living in the world. All the prophets in the old testament struggled with it and Jesus was a man of sorrows for this very reason. It saddens me also. i believe the Spirit of good in your soul cannot bear to be in the prescence of these evil things you are learning... i believe the Spirit of good(of God) is telling you very clearly to not study the direction you are studying in. You will kill your soul. i believe you are to study something else with which your soul will be at peace. Also bear in mind that not a single disciple, nor in fact Jesus, was educated. Do something you love. Even if you sweep the street with no education, but you are sweeping it with happiness, is better than getting an education that wears down your soul. Get out from where you are.it’s killing you.Shalom.

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds:)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
[2Pet 2:6-9]

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
[2Cor 6:14-15]

Everything can be learned from non believers... they can teach you what pastors teach from the bible just as well as a pastor could - except they don't believe in such things. They are a great resource for realizing the world is diverse and that our own our families and friends, and our pastor's opinions aren't worth anything
