How to Enable Drag & Drop Media files in Vegas Pro - All Versions

If you are unable to drag and drop media files - Images, Video clips, sound clips - into Vegas pro, then here's and easy fix for you, a couple of clicks and you should be able to drag and drop with the best of them :)
This should work with all versions of Vegas Pro to enable drag and drop

That's super disappointing that running VEGAS as administrator prevents drag and drop. I set mine to run as administrator because doing so allows you to save presets for 3rd party plugins within the plugin's own program files folder through VEGAS. Oh well... Guess sometimes conveinence comes with sacrifices...

Everything that has the "Run as Admin" box is unchecked and still doesn't let me drag and drop an MP3 file. Any thoughts?

I don't have that checked and I check and uncheck and nothing. Still cannot drag and drop after the update (Vegas Pro 20 Build 326). Any solution?

To anyone who happens to come across this video and this comment:
If the option shown in this video is already unchecked, that's most likely because in the "compatibility" tab there's an option that says "Run this program as an administrator" checked, uncheck it and you should be able to drag and drop. At least, that was my case.

My Vegas Pro 17 won't import audio or any files with drag&drop no matter where from !
It's file browser or windows directly...
That's a serious bug for a good software like that...

the problem with this fix is that it clashes with the fix of vegas not loadings that needs to be runned as an admin
