Neither method works. Then again, this video was posted in 2017, and this is now 2019. That basically means that Windows 10 has been changed multiple times, re-creating previously-solved problems in news ways that wreck the solutions. Tune in next week for a whole host of "This works!!!" solutions that don't work.

It didn't work for me my box has a white broken/stuttering line around it and it's not highlighting blue like the default color

If you cannot drag and drop files or folders, then editing this Registry key may also help you. Open regedit and navigate to:

Change the value of EnableLUA from 1 to 0.

When my drag and drop stopped working, my "click" also stopped working - so any fix involving clicks wouldn't work. My cursor would move fine, but that was it. Well, almost it. The mouse was capable of selecting with the click, but it stopped right there. Once a file was selected, I would hit the Enter key, and the file would open. But no clicking to open, no dragging. :-/ I tried rebooting. No change for a few minutes...then mysteriously, the problem disappeared. Huh?

I can't seem to drag and drop files from the search results on Windows 10. For example, I searched for a file named 'example.txt'. I tried to drag the file 'example.txt' from the search results and drop it onto my desktop, but it's not possible. It was always possible in Windows 7 but why not Windows 10? Is there a solution to this?

I tried this and didn't work. When I hold the left button down and hit ESC it just opens the folder.
The second option it drags a tiny bit then stops.
Is there any other fixes?

I have a problem with Winrar. I watched this video because I want to solve the problem that I have which is I can't drag and drop my files from Winrar to OpenIV which is also file explorer but specified on one file. Although this comment is kinda late but I still hope that you will reply or heart my comment to notify me when you find a solution. Thanks for your time :)

2nd method worked for me

Open my computer then press
Ctrl+shift+escape

Now task manager will open
Click on Windows explorer
And restart it

Restarting windows explorer actually helped! Thanks a lot man! :)

Pour moi la technique du clic gauche + échap à fonctionné. Sur mon Windows, le cliquer-glisser était désactivé PARTOUT et POUR TOUT : pour les icônes du bureau, mais aussi dans les applications (par exemple Firefox pour les onglets, les favoris, ect...).

For me the left click + escape technique worked. On my Windows, click and drag was disabled EVERYWHERE and FOR EVERYTHING: for desktop icons, but also in applications (for example Firefox for tabs, bookmarks, ect ...).
