Simocephalus serrulatus

This is an individual of Simocephalus serrulatus that I harvested from a container of water mixed with 4 types of potting soil. I tried to hatch some wild Daphnia from ephippia I found in the dirt, but I was met with no success, so I collected a couple of Simocephalus from my lake water and added it to the sample. This was one of my adult individuals that I collected 2 weeks later that I compared with Simocephalus from a tiny cup of ciliate-rich water.
