I take on plus handicap golfer and ex challenge tour professional peter finch in a scratch match at the stunning palmares golf club, which is on the beautiful algarve coast of portugal. But there's a twist, peter finch will be using a cheap box set of clubs, can I rise to the challenge and beat him with my expensive custom fit irons and driver or will his talent prove too much? Second best course in Algarve behind Monte Rei. We went before it was done up. Old ramshackle clubhouse and we thought “where have we come to here”. 4 hours later (we played 1-18 loop) we were all saying how it was better than Victoria / Quinta / Vale de Lobo / Faldo etc. Palmares / Old Course / Monte Rei are in a class of their own there. Love to see it now it’s been done up.

Love it Peter, Its crazy hard to adjust to clubs that are super offset from what you normally see looking down at address, both yourself and Simon put on a clinic! Great play! Top class video Liam! Love it!

This series proves that most pro players can play well with a budget set with a decent ball . Every PRO played well with the irons and coped wwith the putter. They had to adjust to the flex in the woods but with their skills it gave them the control of Captain Slice . Everybody loved the bag. Well done SLAZENGER this is a perfectly good value set for beginners. A better set of used wedges /irons /woods and a bag would cost more than $200 and they would still not stop me slicing the ball into the trees.
