How to backup and restore using Acronis True image

Hey, I use to be able to work in DOS but as i age and my mind slips into my childhood it gets so hard to do computer stuff. I have a file issue that keeps dropping a program, no bugs or anything. I have Acronis backup on my computer from the guy who built it for me. This looks so complicated but so easy lol, your everywhere song made me smile and gave me the courage to try lol. of course there is a good chance that i'll fail but before i go i'd like to thank you for your video and inspiration. When restoring I’m having the problem of it wanting me to to put each partition into a matching one or else it fails. Do I need to wipe the hard drive before restoring a backup?

I am using Acronis True Image 2023 and I get to the Select Destination and my new drive is Gray, it won't allow me to select it.

Hello, do you know if it's possible to recover a disk backup on a new fresh one without cloning it ? I'm pretty sure it'll possible but can you confirm ?

It keeps failing with "Not enough space to create a volume snapshot on the volume where the snapshot storage is set" and I have to do something with VSS, whatever the fuck that is lol. Is it really supposed to be this fucking hard just to backup and make a system image?? And I don't have Disk Director anywhere on my copy of this program.
