Income growth has changed radically in the past thirty years. Who do you think it’s benefitted the most?

(Hint: It’s not the bottom 99% of us.)

My course Wealth & Poverty discusses how our economy evolved into a system that overwhelmingly benefits the wealthy. You can watch it now on YouTube.

And it’s not just that the 1 percent have so much money. They have way too much influence, on legislators, media, and universities.

And worse, people are distracted by culture wars and vote for that even as they starve

1980..didn't Carter have the CETA program which employed low income people training them for new skills. President Carter was wise in domestic matters.

"...the structure of the economy."
Which has much bigger impact on our future & is almost impossible to turn around once the uber-wealthy feel so entitled (& they do!);
Also very tough to change these things when majority of Congress critters have now become quite rich themselves, as well as their friends & social circle. When Congress votes in tax cuts for the rich, they're voting for tax cuts for themselves too! (As yourself how they got so rich, when we pay them less than $200, 000yr salary?!)

Time for "mow and mulch" economics.
- Bring back Eisenhower's tax rates.
- Remove the cap on FICA tax.
- tax capital gains as income.

Profits of companies are made to go to the shareholders of the business and not the people in the business. Your supermarket makes 100billion profit and the shareholders win, the people running the cash registers and moping the floor dont even see a gift card at christmas. the system is made for investors, not the people who made the investors the money

All the time laughing at us, because they have us arguing over who can wear a dress.

It makes sense. If your grandfather was a millionaire you have a very good chance of being a multi-millionaire just by simple investing and holding assets. So as time goes on the richest people will be seeing more gains and the poor are left behind proportionately speaking.

That's when Reagan came into the office. Big mistake, very big mistake.

It is disgusting to me that the rich keep getting richer! The reason is corporate greed pure and simple 🤦🏼‍♀️

Why we need to organize, unionize, and take action. This is reprehensible and it's on us to bring this down.

That's an obscene graph. We need to tax the super rich.

I just heard a grocery store owner actually blame minimum wage employees for the price hike on food. Humans suck.

Not only that but many people like me were damaged by “ The Great Recession”. I lost my business, lived on my retirement savings, and now am on social security. Those who caused the disaster were not held responsible. Who ? Republicans
