Ghee has been around for thousands of years and it's one of the most healing and nourishing things on Earth. Did you know that it's the same thing as the high vitamin butter oil that Weston A. Price was giving to his patients with tooth cavities? Ghee can be way too expensive if you buy it from a health store, but if you make it yourself at home using grass-fed butter, it will cost you a fraction of the price. Once you taste the rich, nutty ghee, you'll start thinking that regular butter tastes bland. So let's get cooking!

Thanks Vita! I'm going to make this tonight :) I'm fighting breast cancer (at 35!) and though I thought I was healthy before, I am making tons of changes towards a natural, organic lifestyle. You have helped a bunch!

06:27: recipe
- pot
- strainer + kitchen paper/cheesecloth (optional)
- 2 sticks of butter

Melt the butter, reduce to low fire, cook for 40 minutes. When it melts you will see a lot of foam after 5 minutes. Take the foam away, continue during the 40 minutes. It will make less and less bubbles. Every minute it will become clearer and clearer.
Strain ghee trough the cloth into a clean jar.

I found your video years ago when I was told to eat Ghee. I never liked the taste of store-bought though. 😝 When I made my own from watching your tutorial I couldn’t get enough of it so good 😃 Over the years I went back to butter and now going back to ghee for the health benefits. It took me a while to find this video again. Using others videos I overdid my butter and it turned into a brown butter. Yours is the BEST video out there for both information about what it does for you AND how to make it. Thanks so much. Now I downloaded the video so I will always know where it is🥰

As indians ghee has been passed down from generations to generations so glad others are finding benefits out of ghee. Our vedic health care teachings and way of life is a blessing from our God's. I found a blend of organic grass fed coconut oil (virgin) and ghee. My biggest problem of the past was deciding which one to cook with since I love both. The problem is solved with the blend of both. Now I get double the benefits in one container.

The health benefits of ghee:
1. It doesn’t stimulate insulin
2. It has lutein (it’s good for your eyes)
3. It decreases your appetite and helps you fast longer
4. It contains important fat-soluble vitamins
5. It is more easily digested than other fats
6. It contains MCT fats (which are used as energy and are easily digested)
7. It has short-chain fatty acids (which are good for gut health)
8. It has CLA (it’s anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergy)

Nutritional value of Ghee:
Ghee is purely fat and has no significant amount of proteins, carbohydrates, sugar or fibre. 100 ml of ghee contains almost 99.8 grams of fat. Most of the fat present in ghee is saturated fat. But traces of proteins may be left over in the ghee if milk solids (whey) are not completely removed in the clarification process.

Ghee, a clarified form of butter, is rich in healthy fats that can enhance the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins in milk, aiding in better nutrient utilization. This concoction can be calorie-dense, making it beneficial for weight gain and muscle building.

Why do bodybuilders use ghee?
Ghee contains omega-3 fatty acid DHA and omega 6 (CLA). These fats can help in increasing lean body mass while also reducing fat mass. Ghee also helps in mobilising fat cells to be burnt for energy.

I just bought this, and I didn't see your video until after I purchased it. I'm so excited to try it. I read that it can help with acne due to the active vitamin A that has. I can't ingest butter due to the casein and lactose. Thank you for your videos!

Been doing this for about a month or so. Not clear anymore cause its cooled off and solidified, but it IS soft. I have been using it for frying veggies and meat. I like the higher smoke point. Will have to try it on potatoes and porridge. Am thinking of mixing fresh Oregano when I can get it.
