I bought a CG Expedition nearly 14 years ago, my favorite coat ever. Super durable, super warm I've used to for walking around town, ice fishing, multi day winter backcountry trips and hole sleep of other things. Always kept me warm and shows nearly no signs of wear

Dude it’s all relative to where you live! Obviously if you live in the South you don’t need a Canada Goose jacket but if you live up north in Alaska or Northern Canada it’s a different story

My mother gave me her REI Gortex and down parka that my father bought her when they moved to Seattle back in 1989. She gave it to me BC she and I are the same size. She took immaculate care of both the Gortex shell and the zip in down liner that has full goose down all the way to the wrists. This past month has been colder and I have turned to her parka as my usual squall jacket isn’t warm enough. All the zippers and strings still work and it’s toasty without being too bulky. I also have a Canada Goose parka and it’s a life saver in below zero temperatures. Best arctic parka I’ve ever worn.

Canada Goose jackets are highly overhyped, with most people buying them simply because they’re expensive and carry a recognizable brand name—similar to how many people gravitate toward iPhones. I personally stay clear of any big brand. that’s overhyped like this.

Sometimes overkill is just what you need. It's great if you are snowshoeing in 20 degrees, but if you are sitting in Lambeau Stadium watching a Packers game in 10 below, you appreciate a little overkill!

CG Citadel was a slimmer, lighter version of Expedition Parka, better for the city. Warm AF and a little more civilised. They don't make them anymore.

Had mine for years and it held up cleaning and use. Just wanted another jacket to wear something else.. otherwise i would still use it everyday during the winter.
