Such a great video! I’m finishing our 20th year of homeschooling but our first year here in Florida. One of our biggest successes was my freshman started playing football with our local public school. It’s been so neat to watch him blossom and become a leader on his team. His coaches love him!
And I’d have to say that one of our favorite field trips was to the Pioneer Florida Museum in Dade City. They did a whole program on the civil war, which tied in nicely with us studying the war this year.
I truly love watching your videos! They give me such great ideas for where to travel here in FL!

I love the idea of a reflection survey for everyone involved in the school year! I am going to jot these questions down and ask my crew so that I have an idea of what to adjust for the next round!

Congratulations Waldock Family! Each year should get better and better. Y'all are such a fun and inspirational family! Our homeschool is year-round, so I love the reminder to mark a point in the year to reflect on all we have learned together. This year is botany themed, so we are thoroughly enjoying our science read-alouds and experiments. Honestly, academics aside, having our two children make their own breakfasts 2-3 times a week makes me the most proud. Also getting to get out and about a bit more now has been a welcome change. Thank you for your inspiring words. Always looking forward to your videos. :)

I love that you did this as a family. Kevin always makes me laugh. I taught my kids the 9’s times tables first using that hand trick. I think it’s one of the coolest tricks I learned in school: that and knowing my states in abc order. Lol

What a fun video! I’d love a video on your multiplication tricks. I knew the 9 product fact that Emily discovered but am so happy to have found the 9’s multiplication trick!

I’m the same way with math! It comes naturally and it’s hard to explain it. I find myself getting frustrated and saying, “I’m not sure how to explain it another way!”

I love that y’all did this video as a family so everyone was able to share their thoughts on the homeschool year! I think our most memorable time from the homeschool year is about to happen, as we are heading to the Smoky Mountains for a week of fun and adventure!

You guys are such a fun family! Love seeing all three of you together.

I’m so curious why Kevin’s least favorite national park is Congaree. Never been but curious

So cute! Any tips on coming off of a bad homeschool year? Of course as a mom I feel disappointed. We've had a lot of life circumstances that just didn't allow us to do much.

Emily, being a reader is so important! A teacher once told me that you learn more reading "on accident" through pleasure reading than you learn "on purpose" reading school texts.
