We've used several of the Apologia sciences but not the Astronomy one, yet, so I enjoyed hearing about your experience with that one.

I love that freedom. We rotate curriculum too, not every piece of curriculum every day.

We loved Our Star Spangled Story. We finished it back in Feb. We would do multiple lessons a day sometimes and got it done so early.

The hack I've learned this year --- sometimes we use audio books for the read alouds cause by the end of the school mama is tired!! We also listen to them in the car sometimes! 😉

We’ve enjoyed Our Star Spangled Story this year as well. We will also only finish part one. I’m tore about continuing. We loved the literature but the textbook was just ok. I’m considering moving more toward using literature as the core and skipping the textbook. We also started with Apologia Astronomy. My kids enjoyed it for a few weeks and then lost interest. We switched back to God’s Design for Life. We prefer it’s layout. Simple short daily lessons.

I remember feeling so guilty from morning sickness and not doing any school some days. Why didn’t I think of audio books and read alouds.

What ages/grades would you say the Notgrass OSSS is best for?
Also about apologia- I heard moms share that they split the topics in half- doing botany for half the year for example, and astronomy the other, then switching back. They shared it helped with not losing interest, but I haven't tried it myself yet :)
