Hopefully this helps, here are the things you need:

[Launcher]
bEnableFileSelection=1

# This file is used by the game to keep track of your downloaded content.
# Please do not modify this file.
SkyrimVR.esm

Put your esp files under the SkyrimVR.esm (don’t copy this part)

For those not being able to find appdata, just search %appdata% in your windows search bar and navigate back from "roaming" to "appdata" and into "local".

Finally, someone who doesn't just say use a mod organiser. I happen to use Linux and I only wanted like 1 maybe 2 mods and didn't see the value in getting extra software to do what a text editor and file explorer could in seconds.

I love how you try to be fast. I hate it, when a tutorial is ten times longer then it has to be.
Thanks for this video. Will try and let you know if it works

Fantastic tutorial, thank you - you're the first person to actually show it as is, as opposed to people here on youtube trying to make it look more complicated

Another way to find appdata is I believe to go to your "view" tab up above, then make sure to check off hidden items. Then just follow his steps in the video and you should be able to see it.

Thanks, that was very useful for me to install my mods on Skyrim VR on Linux.

the appdata is hidden by default so you just need to unable hidden elements for it to appear

If you're computer brainless like me, here's a step-to-step (ish) guide on how I found my appdata folder:

After selecting my user, I hit view/options/change folder and search options/view/uncheck "hide empty drives" and "hide extensions for known file types"/and also make sure "show hidden files, folders, and drives" is selected/apply/ok

After that appdata was shy no more... then I went on to try and tackle bigger issues like not having the special edition lol

I don't know if installing manual will work because for me nexus actually did seem to install my mods correctly. SMIM for instance had its .esp file placed into the data folder just fine. Perhaps it's just the wrong version of SMIM that I'm using? Some mods that did nothing but replace textures didn't seem to have .esp or .esm files though, but I'm not sure if that was always a thing. It's been several years since I went bonkers on modding Skyrim OG...

How do you activate in the plugins folder?

Vortex has their own section for skyrim vr, very simple compared to old nexus even if they're by the same people.

so typing all 92 of my mod file names in the plugin folder will allow the mods to work when i enter skyrim vr?
