1. Be sure to Lunch the Game before to start, after running it, close it
3. Add this line in the .ini file:
[Launcher]
bEnableFileSelection=1
5. Run NMM, Cancel the auto search (stop searching button bottom right)
6. Click the ... button right below where it says Skyrim Special Edition
7. Select the folder: \Steam\steamapps\common\SkyrimVR\
8. Click the little checkmark above, and ignore the warning that it couldn't find the .exe
9. Install the Mods
11 Save it and Enjoy!

Be sure to install MOD for the Skyrim SE (Special Edition), also some Mods will not work probably in VR, but HERE we have a start! :)

Thank you, just missing a few important steps here. I would make sure to tell people to use the "Skyrim special edition nexus" because a ton of people on reddit appear to be following your video and using regular skyrim nexus and it won't link and gives an error. Also skyrim vr won't launch directly from nexus and needs to me launched manually after overwritting the app data files.

NOTE: mods that have something to do with Skse64 will cause the game to crash upon starting the game

One thing he forgot to mention: In order to find the ini. file you have to have run the game at least once, or I have heard running as administrator also works.

I did all what you told, but I still can not get into the NMM, it is telling me one of my file is missing "skyrim special edition InI file"

All right for any of you guys who also got the error when starting NMM, saying you don't have Skyrim Speical Edition INI file. This is what i did. I installed Skyrim Special Edition (as i hade it from before) I ran the game and then i closed it and did the steps as shown in the video. Really stupid that you have to have that installed and played for VR to work, but it worked for me. Good luck fellas

My files look different. I dont have the SkyrimPrefs.ini mod on the skyrim vr foler but i have it on skyrim special edition.

this is what it says when i try to load skyrimvr to download mods on NMM: You have no Skyrim Special Edition INI file. Please run SSE to initialize the file before installing any mods or turning on archive invalidation
