WHY TREAT SICK FISH with Salt | IT'S EASY | IT WORKS

Показать описание
Treating Sick Fish with Salt Treatment is a Very Easy First step, if you see that Fish are not behaving normally, and when added into the Whole Aquarium at a Low Dosage it helps treat many different ailments, It is often easier to treat all fish at once in the tank, than it is to catch one, and treat it separately in a quarantine tank. Remove any expensive delicate plants and leave them in a bucket of aquarium water. Stop all feeding and turn the aeration in the tank up to maximum for 24 hours a day. Begin daily 10% water changes. Observe the fish closely and decide if adding a medication is still necessary. Very often, no further action is necessary, and the tank can return to normal.

This is a great video. I'm going to write down your recommendations from the pinned comment. I watch this before I did the surgery on my betta.. I ended up treatng him with salt and a little bit of melafix.. this is the one that had the tumor.. but it had clear fluid in it. It reminded me more of a blister/ulcer.. I ended up lancing it with the guidance of Father Fish and it left an open gash. About two days ago he returned back to normal by all appearances.. active swimming and eating again. Now I'm just waiting to see if the growth returns!
Thanks for this video explaining the way to properly dose salt when treating our sick fish👍🌿🐟🌱🙏

My guppies were immobile for days even when I partially changed the water. I have added the proportion of salt you said (1 tea spoon per gallon) and after few hours they swim as usual. I don't think my fish had problems with the water, but salt has done something positive.

Regarding the salt you show at 0:07 ..from the research I did on using salt, majority of sites warned against using salt with anti caking agent in the ingredients...which your one has...I personally use non-iodised rock salt from woolworths (blue bag).

My pregnant molly has white spots on her tail and I am hoping I can treat her with this salt method. I have a 5 gallon tank and just sprinkled .5 of a teaspoon worth of salt into the tank. Any advice on what I should do next? Do I need to do daily water changes? Should I keep the heater on or off?

Do not use table salt or cooking salt! You need salt for fish! Go to a pet mart or local fish store and ask
