I had been planning to see this since missing the last great American eclipse in 2017 and again missing the April 2023 due to my elderly mother being admitted into hospital several times and then breaking her arm just before this.

Sometimes you have to prioritise what's more important, but you can still be sad about missing it. At least I get to see her turn 100 soon.

Man I'm telling ya, I am so glad I made the trip to the Ozarks to see this.. It absolutely blew my mind.. And that ruby color around it was crazy.. I was even able to capture a small glimpse of it with my cellphone.. Of course, its nothing like this, obviously, but I was surprised the phone even picked up on it..
