I saw the 100% eclipse, and let me tell you, that was the most beautiful thing i saw. The video doesn't do justice. It was so breathtaking

I was able to view a full solar eclipse a few years ago. This video is beautiful but seeing it in person has got to be one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in my life. It puts you in shock. The whole group I was with was yelling in awe at how crazy it was. There’s much more to it than just what’s in the video too. As the sun was slowly getting covered, colors around us were becoming desaturated. Deep greens become grayish green (it’s hard to explain) Shadows and light were slowly becoming indistinguishable. Once the sun was fully covered there was basically a sunset all around the entire horizon.

It made me realize why ancient Aztec civilizations thought it was an act of gods. If you didn’t know exactly what it was it would be terrifying.

No pictures or videos do it justice. When I looked into the sky today and saw the eclipse, I swear it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I just wish it lasted longer

This is my first total solar eclipse. My biggest mistake is focusing more of taking photos and not focusing more on looking at it on my naked eye. I probably spent 3 mins taking photos and 1 min looking at it on my naked eye. It’s so breathtaking and so divine in the naked eye.

I've seen 3 eclipses in my 65 years, and this one was stupendous.

I saw the april 8th eclipse at a major migration point for birds into Canada. The total eclipse itself was one of the most interesting things I laid my eyes on. But, the behavior of the birds, bugs, frogs, etc is something else too.

The surprising thing was listening to how the sound of nature changed for a moment. Twilight zone vibes. Dream like for a couple seconds.

I spent 12 secs under a total solar eclipse. It was so surreal, so disconcerting - then it was over. The funniest thing was the unease was for only those 12 seconds.

I remember the total eclipse in 1999. Cornwall Britain 🇬🇧 I was 19 and it was so surreal and amazing too. I don’t think I’ll be Alive to see another one.

This is close, but it still does not replicate it perfectly. Someone might be able to successfully recreate it in VR one day, but as of this moment the only way to truly experience an eclipse is being in the path of totality of one.

For the "great American solar eclipse" I drove 10 hours to get a good viewing area, and the 30 minutes before it happened we got a storm. I was so sad, seeing an eclipse is not on my bucket list.
