Its not always that simple, some pull aways when commitment starts to happen can be down to avoidance issues, past trauma ect. The way to deal with that is to actually pull away yourself yes, to the extreme if she ends thongs then its no contact. You also make the decision to whether you want to chase someone with commitment issues/trauma. If you do you always put the ball in their court, they chase you or nothing

I think this happens very often nowadays with long distance relationships. Because of the distance there has to be a commitment to communicate and without goals or a timeline women perceive commitment and start to pull away.
