I would say at 2:26 the Psychologist made an excellent point, in my daughters school when she was entering at the age of 4, the teachers asked that we do not say to our children, good girl, or good boy, we say, well done, or good job. If they excel at something one day like writing, and the next day they don't, don't make them feel bad by thinking today I wasn't a good person, good girl. Today they didn't do their best attempt. I wondered why we don't do this with adults too, we are too complex to be all good, or all bad. If we could treat everyone with the compassion we treat the child, shut our door to bad behaviour, unethical or dishonest behaviour, but the person, we always keep a door open for, a person can be reformed, their behaviour can change. People arent't good or bad, their behaviour can be, we have to give space for a person to change.

Does anyone know of a source that “At least once every soul has to be a woman”?
I recently learnt שער הגלגולים from the Arizal and he does not mention such a thing…
Wondering where that idea came from? 47:11

I think if one studies the Exodus well enough, he would end up having a glimpse of what the ancients thought about the 40 weeks of pregnancy (years of Exodus) for the plagues started with drops of blood and crossing the sea is God showing us that the many seeds are crossing to the Mountain (woman's seed) where only Moses is allowed to ascend

I love the wry sense of humour of God in the books of Prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah, this always makes me smile. He is so funny.

As Christians it’s important to trust God no matter what we are going through. God is our only strength in this world. Like many other single parents things are tough on me. Both of my sons are autistic and non verbal. I’m constantly struggling to provide for them and now that I’m home schooling them things are especially hard. I’m having trouble getting their school supplies. I’m overwhelmed and so ashamed. Father God hear my prayers. My faith in you is strong! Even as I constantly struggle to pay my rent. And I constantly struggle to provide groceries for my children! I trust you Lord! I’m choosing to keep faith. Walking with faith is the most important thing us christian’s must do. That’s why love compassion and prayers are all we truly need. Please keep me in your prayers. 😊

Rabbi is an amazing communicator. Smart too. I would like to share my understandings and assert that while you both are not wrong to have the view you have of Buddhism / Hinduism / Eastern faith traditions (Dharma), this understanding is 1) rudimentary due to how it has been widely and deeply (generations) communicated and taught, 2) more a misinterpretation than a correct interpretation by not only you but the New Agers and believe it or not, in my experience of contact, the vast majority of folks born into those traditions. Problem is, the way those traditions are relayed and managed, make it easy to market the most palatable version for people to consume. Now there's a whole branch with the prefix of "neo" in these trads which is promoting and preaching more misunderstanding. There are no central authorities in the Eastern Traditions (not really, it appears so, sometimes in Buddhism but they are fragmented) that ensure proper tutelage in teaching. There's one "guru" right now making himself super popular with Hollywood and any wealthy or powerful person in USA, who wants people to believe he didn't read or learn or get any of his great knowledge and wisdom from prior sages or scripture of his ancestral land (India). That's called having a big freaking PERSONAL ego. His brand is he is originator. Guys like him do have some ancient wisdom-based knowledge but they also have much ignorance and too much personal serving desires and so, leave damage in their wake. They do tremendously well in all material respects esp. in the USA but their teachings almost always take you away from serving God.

I really enjoyed this teaching
I’m ex Moslem for most of my life
I tried Christianity but not really convinced. So I’m not following any religion
But the more I listen and understand Jewish religion the more I felt in love with it. ❤

I am Christian and I like to listen to the rabbi, generally. But, there are times that he distresses me. This is a long video. I got stuck starting around 28:30 where he is discussing the purpose of life. He doesn't explain that from first principles, but he uses Christianity as a straw man argument. ( and, this is a sorry argument, too, because he says in other videos that it took Judaism thousands of years to figure that out, that our purpose is to know, love, and serve God- oh, by the way. Actually, I learned this in first grade of Catholic school 65 years ago) First, he doesn't present a fair statement of Christianity, that our purpose is to serve God, rather he finds a single case to disprove that. Second, again, he doesn't speak from first principles, but rather he says HE is looking for a God who he can serve -- huh? -- why would that be? So, he starts from a false premise to then say whatever he wants, to go into his favorite line of argument. He is always well-received by Jewish audiences who will approve whatever he says.

The way to be blissful, is to have gladness above our fellows say the Bible, He tells us how. Is to hate evil and to love righteousness!

We speak to G-d saying, 'Avinu, Malkeinu'... Our Father, our King. Our abba is the one who created us in love..and is closest to us, inseparably connected in his heart, in the heart of his children's heart. Our King is more distant, engendering awe, respect, honor. The eastern practices know this distant Creator, but not Abba who loves us intimately and unconditionally. Even if our father is angry with us sometimes, it is because He has great expectations and love for us.
